The star was given the cheque on 16 October as his third album his work was chosen as the top album of the previous year.
The musician has opted to hand the money over to the Music Venues Trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function small stages fulfilled in his early career.
"As an artist would not have achieved this success if it weren't for all the gigs I played around the area, and beyond, when I was just getting going," said Sam Fender. "These locations are renowned, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, at least 150 of these venues have shut down – about one-sixth of the total UK scene.
Recently, major artists like Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all aided the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to support the industry, by applying a small levy to their ticket costs, which benefits smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also joined in, collecting in excess of £100,000 on his recent tour to assist numerous local spots across the UK.
These funds assisted locations that were facing imminent closure due to difficulties stemming from floods, fire incidents and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, conflicts and neighbor objections.

"The concept that money from concerts in big venues helps the independent spots, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just common sense," the star has commented.
